Licia Mussinelli

The 18-year-old from Solothurn is the first junior athlete of the Sports Academy of Wheelchair Sport Switzerland. The expectations are correspondingly high as the Junior World Champion over 1'500 meters in 2017.

 

Her long-term goal is to participate in the Paralympics. The Junior World Championships 2019 are therefore an important intermediate milestone.

Andrin Deschwanden

The 17-year-old from Horw suffered an accident-related spinal cord injury only three years ago. He has been training regularly in the racing wheelchair for two years. Despite this short training period, he has a good chance of high achievement.

Matiwos Russom

The 16-year-old from Basel is one of Switzerland's newcommers in Para Athletics. For him, the selection for the Nottwil 2019 World Para Athletics Junior Championships would be already a success. His fearless and cocky character are one of his strengts, according to Swiss national team coach, Beat Fäh.

Dario Studer

The only 15-year-old from canton of Solothurn has been already part of the last junior worlds in 2017. He was and still is one of the youngest competitors. This time his goal is clearly defined: «I don't want to finish last!». Dario has still has a lot of time to develop and be like Marcel Hug, his big idol.
